Hi, this is my first post. I was diagnosed just after Christmas following a routine mammogram and then biopsy. I had surgery - wide local excision on the 8th February , this showed stage 2 invasive and stage 3 DCIS. I haven’t had any physical problems since my surgery and have healed well, however I am emotionally all over the place. I am waiting for an appointment with the oncologist to then start my radiotherapy. X
Welcome to the forum Lizzie,
It’s good to hear that you’ve healed well, at least it’s the first hurdle out of the way. Like you, my bc was picked up by routine mammo - thank goodness I went for it, as I nearly didn’t! I didn’t need chemo, so was back to life as normal within a few months.
What you describe in feeling all over the place at this stage, is familiar to us here, it certainly does all tend to catch up with us a bit as going through all of this is a shock. It does pass though.
Do also have a look at the’going through treatment’ board, where you will be able to share with others going through rads at the same time.
Do come & chat or vent whenever you want to.

Sending hugs Lizzylou and well done so far. Welcome to our forum but I’m sorry you find yourself here. We are a friendly bunch and you will be welcomed wherever you decide to put a post. I recommend using the “going through treatment” threads to connect with others going through the same. You can come on here to offload, have a rant or whatever you need and we all understand.
