New lump 9 months after radiotherapy

I finished radiotherapy in my left breast 9 months ago

and have found a medium sized smooth lump I can move it about , I’m not overly worried about it , but I’m concerned, is there something to worry about. I had lobular no nodes involved. Thank you

It’s understandable that you are concerned about the new lump you have found. Even though you are not overly worried about it, it is always best to get any new symptoms checked out.

Breast changes can happen for many reasons. They may be due to hormonal changes as part of your monthly cycle (if you are still having periods) or due to benign conditions (not cancer).

As your breast cancer was 9 months ago, it would be best to contact your breast care nurse or treatment team so that they can assess the lump.

We offer a range of free supportive services for anyone who has had a diagnosis of breast cancer which you may be interested in. They include face to face and online courses and events.
