Hi!
I’ve just found this forum when googling and wanted to join and introduce myself.
I was diagnosed with TNBC in February 2013 at the age of 48 and had WLE, Chemo (EC) x 6 and radiotherapy x 15.
Soon after finishing treatment, I discovered I have the faulty BRCA1 gene and opted for risk reducing surgery. In 2014 I had a full hysterectomy and in 2015 a bi mx with immediate LD reconstruction.
I have been lucky to have no recurrences since diagnosis and am generally healthy and happy!
One of the reasons for joining this forum is that I wrote a blog during my treatment which a friend recently asked about as another friend of hers has had a diagnosis and she thought it would be useful for her to read. I had almost forgotten about the blog, the last post was written in the summer of 2015, but when I started to re-read it, I wondered if it might help others? I’m currently in the (very slow!) process of copying and pasting it from a very difficult to navigate blog website into a word document.
I’m looking forward to reading your posts and commenting where I can.
With love XX
