New side effects after a year of none!

Does anyone get vagueness and light headed, dizzy and stuffy head? On a new brand of tamoxifen and this is new  New brand is wockhardt uk

Iā€™ve just started taking Tamoxifen and put on this brand - only 11 days in but Iā€™ve been experiencing a bit of light headedness and muzzy feeling head since about day 6

I never suffered anything apart from high blood pressure last year but these new ones made by wockhardt I feel dizzy light headed and spaced out? Really weird feeling, sometimes blurry vision, just not myself on them

Hi lovely ladies,
You need to contact your doctor or who ever prescribed the tamoxifen, so that the brand can be changed, you dont have to continue on this feeling like this. Im sure they will happily do this as what they dont want is for you to stop taking them due to unnecessary side effects from a brand maker.
Best wishes

Blurred vision can potentially be dangerous if it comes on when youā€™re driving etc. Inform your BCN as soon as possible - also as @purplerose has already said contact whoever prescribed them ask for another prescription and get it put on your record that you canā€™t have this brand again. Itā€™s possible that your BCN or GP or both may want you to have a little break in treatment to see if your symptoms improve in order just to ensure there isnā€™t another cause and confirm that this brand really isnā€™t for you. If you havenā€™t been recently you could also get checked out at the Optician just to cover all bases . Xx

Hi there. I started tamoxifen 7 years ago (til I menopaused; now on ai). Before I even started tamoxifen my then very experienced bcn advised that different tamoxifen manufacturers produced different side effects because of the different ā€˜fillersā€™ added to the active ingredient of tamoxifen. I read a huge number of reviews and found wockhardt and CP Pharmaceuticals had the largest number of reviews for bad side effects. I also had a conversation with my pharmacist who showed me that they order the cheapest tamoxifen supplier incl any that are on sale. At the time the pharmacy received Ā£1 from the government for every single tamoxifen tablet dispensed. So if they purchased at Ā£1.25 it cost them, the pharmacy 25p. If they purchased at Ā£0.79p they benefitted. Hence the constant change of manufacturer for my scrip. Wockhardt and CP Pharmaceuticals were obviously the cheapest suppliers of tamoxifen, with the cheapest fillers and the most and worst side effect. I asked my GP to incl in the prescription narrative: ā€œplease do not dispense Wockhardt or CP Pharms tamoxifenā€ and they didnt. And if any other manufacturer ewas good or bad I asked for that to be added to the narrative. It worked. Good luck xx

Itā€™s funny how different brands suit different people. This is the brand I have prescribed, as itā€™s the easiest for me to swallow and gives me minimal side effects.
