New to site

Hi I’m new to site, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in august last year & have had surgery twice, chemotherapy, 3 lots of herceptin so far & waiting for radiotherapy to start. Saw my consultant on Tuesday who said he’ll see me in 12 months time., but I’m still struggling with it all & still have days when I cry most of the day. Has anyone else felt like this?

Hi Debs,I think we all have days when we feel like that and coming to the end of treatment is actually quite scary. Are you taking anti depressants if not may be worth considering just to help you get back on an even keel.Jill.

Hi Debs, i found the time when released from the regular appts the second toughesr time, the first was waiting between investigations and results.
Use your BCN and GP and this fab forum, you will find more support on the living with section of the forum.
If you are a facebook user some counties have closed facebook groups which also offer informal support / rant areas.
Be kind to yourself,

May be worth talking to GP about the dose/type of antidepressant if you don’t feel they are helping, and no I don’t think any of us are quite the same person after this experience. It is very hard for people who haven’t been faced with their own mortality to understand the impact it has.
