hi there ladies, i hope your all having a good day, just letting you know i am feeling better today. Trying not to let those negative thoughts creep into my head. Doing my best to feel positive. No point worrying over something we dont know about yet, will just have to wait and see.

hello karen sorry you have had to join us, but there is some great people on here,
no what you mean about family and friends moving on, for the first few weeks of my dx my house was full of flowers, my 6 year old said “why does everyone keep sending us flowers”, i said it was because of easter, the pnone and texts kept coming through but it has calmed down, it not that people dont care but i think, there lives carry on
my partner was on the phone to his mate laughing and talking about a concert they want to go to next month, i`m sat there thinking i cannot plan anything at min, how can he, has he forgot, but i suppose things have to carry-on, i hope your appointment went ok

Hope you are all well! Pauline I can never remember which ones i go onto so incase I don’t find yr message, went today and this time thank God margins are clear! Have an appt on 9th June to see oncologist re chemo. Good news is i’ve been told we can go on prebooked hols the bank holiday week!

brilliant news debs, i bet your so relieved, no more surgery.
ive got grade 3 so i expect i will be going through cemo about the same time. Every step always seems to involve another 3 weeks wait. I might try and go back to work inbetween if i can, need to save sick pay ror reconstruction at the end.

I am thinking the same debs, after i have had results and after half term i am hoping to go back for a few weeks before the cemo starts ( if the doc signs me off ). I don’t want to waste weeks i will need at the end for reconstruction. It will seem strange going back after 5 weeks off but i need to keep my hand in and i am sure there will be even longer spells sat infont of daytime tv ahead anyway.
Hope it goes well for you next week, nice to think you only have to get through a week if you find it tiring. (you will have to excuse my spelling sometimes, I am a TA who delivers letters and sounds to a group of Y3s, dont tell my boss)

Lovely to hear your news, Deb! I went back to work before chemo - it kinda helped me get back to “me” instead of being the poor sick lady sitting around thinking about how ill she was. Fortunately too I’ve been able to arrange to work from home between chemo weeks, which helps to keep my brain in gear.

goods new for your weekend debs,
went for results grade 3 good margins so no more surgery, but was a bit freaked out that 3 nodes were involve have had all 30 took out ,so thats 1 thing, am now waiting for app for oncoligist,an old hair dresser of mine has offered to come and do my hair when needed so thays a weight of my mind,
