Confirmed today that I have lung mets, 12 years after original BC diagnosis dammit. Pathology report says tumour cells tested positive for ER and PR (which the original tumour did) and also CK7(?)
Because I’ve been seeing a lung consultant, I’ve got to wait until I’ve been referred to a BC specialist to find out prognosis and treatment. What do you wish you’d known on day one? And any advice on what questions I need to ask when I get my appointment?
Hi Marion I don’t have lung mets but I have bumped up a thread you may find interesting. But lots of ladies have lung mets and I am sure you will have someone to help you. Good Luck x
Hi Marion, what would I have liked to have known on day 1? I would have liked to have had personal contact with someone with sbc. Someone living with the disease. It took me sometime to find real people who could talk to me and explain what I needed to know. As a result I now know the pathway of sbc, the treatments available and am always ahead at my appointments. It gives me control. Ethel x
