Newly diagnosed while preparing for house move to Scotland

Hi All

I was diagnosed on Monday with Stage 3 Triple Negative BC. In what should have been one of the most exciting time of our lives moving back home to Scotland our world has been turned upside down. My husband actually started his new job on 1st December and I’m remaining here till the house sale is complete. My huge worry is this, if I start my treatment here at Royal Bolton Hospital is it easy enough to transfer to Scotland. I’m seeing my oncologist on 29th December and he knows I’m looking for information on this so I’ll see what he comes back with, but I was just wondering if anyone out there has experience of this and how it worked. I don’t want to start here and then get lost in the system and have to wait for weeks to get something sorted out up in Scotland. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I’m still in shock :green_heart:

Hi friend,

I was just diagnosed this past Thursday Dec.9,2021. Like you, I’m still numb and in shock because no one else in my family has dealt with this. I haven’t told anyone yet as I’m still trying to process it all and it’s almost like a lump comes in my throat when I think about telling my mother and daughter. My husband was in complete shock because he thought for sure I had dense tissue. I would think you should be fine starting treatment right away and transfer shouldn’t be a problem. I pray all goes well for you my dear.
