Hello,
Thought I would introduce myself.
I found lump in left breast on 6th November and was diagnosed on 2nd January. What a great start to the new year hey!! Had all the tests under the sun done at the wonderful Linda McCartney Unit in Liverpool and going to see surgeon on Friday to find out results and what she will be doing.Feeling very positive at the moment because I have two friends who have been through it and come out the other side.Stay positive girls!
Allicat.
Hi Allicat,
Welcome to the forums…but sorry you have had to join us.
Great that you are feeling positive…I hope you manage to continue that way.
I was diagnosed in jan 04, 12mm tumour, grade 3, had lumpectomy and 7 nodes removed…all clear, no vascular invasion,
clear margins, treatment…chemotherapy FEC…because of high grade and age at diagnosis [43], followed by radiotherapy and now tamoxifen.
Do let us know how things go on Friday.

Hi Allicat
Just as Karen said, its good to hear you so upbeat, thats one of the best tools for your upcoming journey. My journey has lasted just over two years, a baby compared to some of the other folks on this site! There isn’t a subject you can’t share on this site from idle chit chat to provoking conversations on the latest opinions on treatments
Take care and all the best
Carol

Hi Allicat
Welcome to the site - though sorry you have had to join us.
I was dx last november, had mastectomy, currently going through 4 x fec then rads, then more chemo then herceptin. Being so positive will help you through your treatment (though it is hard some days). As everyone has said the support on here is tremendous - I know I would have been lost without it.
Best of luck on Friday - please keep up posted
take care

Hi Allicat
Sounds like you have the best frame of mind…it’s rotten that you have to come here.
I’m 30, had 1.7mm, grade 3 and am currently sporting a bright red mohawk hair do as my hair is falling out due to chemo…let us know how you do.
Best wishes

Hi girls,
Thought I’d fill you in on my appointment today. My bone scan,x-ray and blood tests all came back ok but the CT scan showed something on my liver.I am now having an MRI scan next Wednesday to check it out.Quite worrying!!
Today,I also had an ultrasound on my neck and fine needle aspiration in lymph glands then an ECG/ultrasound to check my heart. Also told me it’s not hormone related but HER2,so will be having Herceptin at some point.Back to clinic Friday to see con surg as I didn’t get to see her today as planned.
Thanks for support and keep your chins up,
Love Allicat x
