Night head cover

Does anyone wear some sort of head cover in bed, I’ve been told I will lose my hair. I don’t intend to do the cold cap, I don’t want to spend anymore time in hospital than I have too.

I’ve already purchased a number of head scarfs to wear, but wonder if I will need something on my head of a night, I do feel the cold a bit during the winter and we never have the heating on during the night.

Would appreciate any tips on this please and also what sort of head cover to avoid day or night. Just to add, I only have a small head.

Hello again Pinklily,

Hope all is going as well as it can be.

I lost my hair though the winter/Spring months and it was cold sleeping without something on my head!  I found the cotton sleep hats (from Annabandana website, cost under £4) to be just what was needed and to also wear around the house.  I also found them to make a great liner under my other hats (just normal everyday winter hats) when outside.  They gave structure and added warmth in the winter as well as confidence that my hats would not slip off!  I would also remove my second hat when out at times and just keep the sleeper hat on. They come in an assortment of colours and patterns, and you can even get them with a bit of lace on!

Take care Pinklily,

Chick X

Hello, Pinklily!

I’ve just bought some sleep caps from Annabandana.  I am cold capping but think I might lose some hair anyway so bought them just in case.  Think I will use them as a base for wearing nice scarves for added  protection this winter as well as using them at night.  You can get loads of different colours.  Was impressed with this site and bought a lovely leopard print hat as well.  Has made me feel more in control whatever happens with my already thin short hair! Sx
