Nipple reconstruction, healing time?

Hi

 

Just wondering if anyone could tell me how long it took for your nipple reconstruction (skate flap) to fully heal?

 

I had mine done 4 weeks ago and still quite sore. 

 

I had all the dressings and foam donut taken off after 3 weeks and just wondered if maybe I’m just slow to heal or is this normal?

Hi there Mystery Mouse

ive just come across your thread…I had nipple reconstruction a few months ago and had no problems at all. It was never painful as my boob was pretty numb in that area anyway…although the tattooing hurt!! 

I honestly can’t remember how long it was in dressings but I don’t think it was any longer than 2 weeks and then I just had the doughnut on with normal bra to try stop it going flat.

if it’s just sore and no redness it may be that like you say you’re a slow healer.

are you pleased with the result?
