No Bra Day.... Really?

Hi all,

I just wanted to see if anyone else shared my feelings about No Bra Day supposedly spreading awareness but blatantly isolating so many of the women this is apperntly intended to help.

Campaigns like this and M&S’s #showyourstrap just dont seem to be getting it right!?

what do you guys think?

What is no bra day? Please don’t tell me its a campaign to raise awareness for BC?? And please don’t tell me it’s an attempt to highlight what it might be like to live with one or no breasts???

I’m dubious about how exactly this sort of thing is supposed to raise awareness of breast cancer. BC should not be sexualised or glamourised! That’s my thinking, anyway.

Hi ladies

I always wonder who thinks up these ideas…I appreciate it is being used to raise awareness

and that can never be a bad thing…but…‘No bra day!!!’ after having a bi-lateral mastectomy,

with immediate recon, last year I have never felt comfortable enough to take my bra off…

I don’t know if it’s a protective thing or what…maybe that’s just me!!!

Wishing you ladies all the best xx

Hello peeps,

Now what I suggest is National Wonky Bra day :)!! When one of us has just had a single mastectomy and still has a double E bra on the left, then the next that has had a double mastectomy but still wants to wear “lingerie” (yeah baby :)!!), or those of us that they still have to decide :)!!! After my surgery I have to say that have a beautiful right tit… reconstruction omg :)!!! Its my left tit… oh my word… a travesty :)!!! Marks and Sparks should have an ad with all of us :)!!! A £10 deal on the weekend… with a bottle of wine :)!!! Nik xxxx
