all i want for christmas this year to to have a day…just one day where I can forget the whole cancer thing…all thats needed is for the tv not not have any cancer stories/reports on the news no ‘victins’ in our soaps… no reports good or bad in the papers, no adverts!!! Not too much to ask is it… Oh I would also like to have my lovely nails back!

Agreed!! Its everywhere and i get people texting me, put so n so channel on theres a bit about cancer, why do people think i want to watch everything involving cancer just cos i have it grrrr

I can tell you to have a day free of c talk is great.My son got married earlier this year and I was so worried about how it would be as it was their day and I did not want cancer anywhere near it.Not one person asked me how I was or even mentioned the c word for the whole weekend.Found out later my son had given everyone an update on my treatment and instructed everyone not to ask me how I was and basically give me a day off.
It was such a wonderful day anyway and I was so happy I forgot about the damn cancer-just be great to manage that right through Christmas.

Although no C talk over christmas might be a bit hard as going to my parents and my dad has had C too, and cant eat lumps so his dinner will come out the blender… cant forget C that day!!!
would be lovely just for one day to have my old life back when I was me and not the wife/mum/friend/colleague etc with C, I just want to be me! not much to ask for is it?
perhaps it was all around us before but we didn’t notice it so much because it wasn’t in our lives
all I know is it is crap! and yes just a day without it would be good
