I am 55 and a couple of months ago noticed a very small area of dry, flaking skin near my right nipple. Over the last couple of months it has grown in size but is still only about the size of a 5p piece. i also have some changes to my nipple. A couple of weeks ago I sent an email to the nurses on this website and they suggested I should see my GP asap. Still I dithered and a week or so later I made an appointment. I saw my GP on the Friday and on Saturday I received an appointment for this Wednesday (4 days later). I am trying to be positive but the early appointment, plus that it is a non “breast clinic day” for my hospital adds to the worry. Has anyone else been here for these symptoms?

It may be that they are trying to fit in extra clinics because of the holidays when staff may be off. It is good that it is early.
