So sorry to hear your sad news.I have been following your journey and so admire your courage and the undying devotion you had for the love of your life.
Life will never be the same, but you had a a beautiful time together and that will stay with you forever.
Thank you all from both myself and also from Vicky’s family & friends for all your kind words, thoughts and messages of support.
Vicky’s funeral will take place on Monday 16th May but because she was who she was (wonderful in other words), we are having a party at the same place we were married a couple of years ago as that’s what she wanted.
The tears still come readily for my pretty and so brave wife as I miss her so much but I will carry on, as that too is what she wanted although we all know that nothing will ever be the same again.
Dear Stuart the photos were just beautiful.
Rest in Peace Vicky.
Vicky was truly beloved, looking at the pictures of you both reminded me of this lovely verse.
Last Fragment, by Raymond Carver.
And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.
I’d like to thank everyone for their support during Vicky’s fight with BC and their kind words, thoughts & prayers since it took her away.
For anyone that knew her, Vicky’s funeral will be on Monday 16th at the Abbey Centre, Overslade Close, Northampton,. NN4 0RZ
I doubt I’ll be back here much from now on for obvious reasons but if anyone that is in the situation we were in would like to talk, then I’d like to think I can offer support or advice in the future so myusername at hotmail dot com (assuming this won’t break any regulations).
Stuart,
Thanks for letting us know about the funeral. Glad it went well, I’m sure you did Vicky proud!
You will obviously be facing a tough time but the pain will ease eventually and you will be able to think of Vicky without the rawness of the pain. You and the family will remain in my thoughts and prayers, that the joyful memories and Vicky’s spirit will give you strength.
With love, Julie x
