Noncyclical breast pain

Hi there, this is my first ever forum question.

i am 50 and for at least 2 years, I have been having regular pains in both breasts. These pains are never the same and have at times brought me to tears as well as to my knees. I have had a mammogram and an ultrasound which have not picked up on anything. It is not reflux, and these pains are at different parts of the breasts and even the lower area of the armpit/breast.

My question is how exactly the breasts change during perimenopause and actual menopause? I’ve had no joy from doctors in the past. No one can tell me how I will know if I am entering menopause as I have the contraceptive implant ( 8 years so far with no menstrual cycle ) as well as 19.5 years ago I had a tubal ligation. Are these pains normal or should I be concerned? thanx
