North Manchester?

Anyone in this area new to this cancer thing and in need of a buddy?

Hi Millymolly, I live South Manchester, originally from North Manchester and family still live in North Manchester. Mine was a different diagnosis from yours (from your profile), and I’m 8 weeks post masectomy. Hope all goes well on Wednesday for you with the node clearance. I know what you mean about swinging from calm to hysterical, it’s totally normal in the circumstances. This site is great for discussing worries and treatments etc.

Thanks Jac,
MRI done today. Once more I wait but so glad of a friendly ear.

Millymolly I live in North Manchester

Hi, Millymolly, I’m in Oldham if I can help. I had mx, lots of node involvement and erpr- her+ a year ago October. I finished chemo in April, Rads in May/June and Herceptin last month. I STILL swing from calm to hysterical! but it does get better. Hang in there, it’s all do-able, even if you don’t want to.

Thanks Quail. Think once I get to the doing part I’ll feel better. Just now people keep doing to me and making me wait to find out what they’re doing next. I just want to get on with chemo, rads and survival!

Hi there
I am nearly 5 years from dx, had surgery at North Mcr General and chemo etc at Christies. Can’t fault North Mcr or Christies. I had the best treatment and am now feeling great. But I do remember how I felt when going thro’ treatment.
Message me if you want to meet up.
