Hi everybody,
Just to see if any of the northern/ north west ladies are planning on meeting in the near future. I know we were thinking about Manchester, possibly Malmaison, but I am not sure what facilities they have-I am quite happy to find out. Another possibility might be Tate Liverpool, who I know would accomodate us, so if anybody interested, please send a message to get an idea about numbers and dates.

Hi Nicky – thanks for starting this thread, and please count me in for a northwest “secondary BC” meet! I live near Manchester, but could also get to Liverpool easily (used to work there and did the commute every day for two years). Haven’t been to the Malmaison hotel in Manchester, but would assume it has a bar/cafe where we could drink tea/coffee/champagne and/or order a bite to eat. It’s very near Piccadilly Railway station, as is the new-ish City Inn hotel, which I have been to and know it also has a nice bar/cafe. Both are about a five-minute walk from the station (downhill, so a walk uphill afterwards), but there are loads of other nice places in Manchester, which are also easy to get to using the free city-centre bus services that go to/from all the rail stations and drop off in the shopping/entertainment areas.

I live in Conwy, north Wales so I can catch train to either would to meet in Manchester or Liverpool, according to Malmaison website there is one in Liverpool now too, both lunch menus look pretty good!

Possibly Debenhams Spa in the morning, then over to the Lounge Bar at The Midland for afternoon tea…
Our support group is held in Dukinfield every 4 weeks - will put it to the girls?

I’m really looking forward to meeting up-loved the idea of Debenhams Spa, but have just been told tby another Spa that I can’t have a massage, use a sauna or have the treatmentsthat my husband organised for my birthday because of chemo. Probably safe to have a facial though!
Poanni-have never been to the Midland, but sounds like a good idea.
What dates/ days suit people?Fridays are probably my best days, but can always take some annual leave/ rearrange child care if needed.

Not keen on the name Cinderella Day though as I think it slants towards us feeling sorry for ourselves - WHICH WE DON’T! Sorry to whoever thought of the name

The Cinderella Day name was taken from the London lot who are doing a similar thing… we can rename it to something more positive if you want!!
I’ll be ringing the Midland this week to discuss ideas with them. Please leave your thoughts here (when you want this to happen etc) and I’ll bell them on Friday or something…
