Not another cancer blog....

Jane - read your blog last night.

Excellent - can’t wait for the ‘Pink October’ piece - don’t take any prisoners, as they say!

Are you by any chance a lecturer in English?

Hi Jane - absolutely fascinating and truthful blog, so well written…not that I would have expected any less of you! Please keep it going when you have the time/feel like it - you have so very many fans on this forum who perhaps like me, wish we could write so eruditely.
Take care …
Liz.

Just bringing to the top in case anyone interested. I have just posted the first of what I hope will be several pink October essays.

Thanks for all being so nice. No I wasn’t an English teacher…Politics was my original subject…though I eventually got into FE teacher training dabbling in everything.

Wow jane, I’ve just read Brave Dead Heroes. It was excellent. I had just spent the afternoon talking through/grappling with the issues of protecting others versus being totally honest, and how much insidious pressure there is on you to keep the unpleasant truths to yourself.
Would you consider giving this a wider audience? send it to a national newspaper? I think it deserves to be heard by the public at large.
Keep them coming

Absolutely superb Jane!!

I have only just checked out the website and was utterly impressed. I read the Pink Oct ‘Fashion Show’ entry and thought it was absolutely spot on.

A very good read, I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. I will certainly be eagerly awaiting future entries,

Thanks Jane,

Kelly

Hi Jane

Enjoyed your piece about Pink Fashion very much!

(And thanks for giving lymphoedema a mention, too. According to the latest edition of ‘Lymphline’, there was actually a lady in her 60s with lymphoedema scheduled to take part. I assume she did. Did anyone go to the show? I’d love to know if she wore her sleeve or not or whether it or arm was covered by long sleeves, or whether her lymphoedema was so mild it couldn’t be spotted unless you were actually looking for it).

Once again, you’ve succeeded in crystallizing many of my thoughts. I’m sure others feel the same.
