Not another cancer blog....

Thanks to a cyber friend on the other site I have now set up an embryonic website where I’m intending to post some essays and blog thoughts.

Just two essays and one post so far: essays on assisted dying and a piece called: Brave dead heroes and valiant survivors. Pink October will follow.

Probably can’t put the link here but my user name plus co.uk will get you there if anyone interested

Jane

Jane
I just read your essays and - wow - they are good. They say it as it is and I give you my utmost respect

Best regards
Sharon

I’ll check it out Jane, thanks for the link.

I found doing a blog very useful in being a mind dump - google cancermum (no spaces) and you’ll find me too

Rebecca

Hi Jane, just read Brave dead heroes…how very true…looking forward to reading Pink Oct.
Belinda.

I can’t find your blog. Can you send me the link?

Thanks, Jenny

Sounds like you’re going back into chemo this month? If so hope it hits the button and doesn’t make you feel too s**t.

Nice writing style too.

All the best,

Angie (just finished 6xFEC and waiting for the evil steroid monster to f off out of my body

Hi Jane – it’s a great blog, important issues, thought-provoking and LOUD, just what you (and we) needed!

Really enjoyed reading your “thoughts”, Jane - some thought provoking stuff as I would expect.

Notice you talk about a voice coach maybe being able to help with your voice. Can I suggest a speech therapist instead who specialises in voice (not my specialist area but is part of all SLT’s training)? Will talk to you face to face about the possibilities if you are able to make London next Thurs.

I can’t find the blog either - so can you send it to me. I am quite keen to read your blogs as I always enjoy your posts.

I tried googling JaneRA.co.uk and that doesnt work, so tried janera.co.uk - still didnt work. BUT if you put janera.co.uk with www in front of it in your address bar it does work :). Well it did for me.

Dawn

Just read your web page, Jane, and I really liked it. I especially liked the brave dead heroes piece.

Are you doing a pink october piece? Just read on the AMerican site (oh please, BCC, let us post web links) that you can buy flipping pink crocs with bows on for breast cancer month. Forgive me if I spew up on anybody’s.

Deirdre

Thank you Jane, excellent reading. I look forward to Pink Oct.

I do hope that the chemotherapy works well for you and that your voice improves.

Margaret

dawn - thanks for tip, it worked!

jane - a big thank you, well wrtitten, thought provoking and great for sending to those who keep on telling me to have a positive energy - i like to remind them that i was extremely positive before i got this sh*tty thing, and a fat lot of use it did then.

thanks again,
k

Thank you Dawn - that works well, like you I had tried all the various combinations, but not that one.

Thank you Jane I have enjoyed reading the blog and look forward to more.

Thanks everyone.

My favourite pink October gift is the Royal Doulton fine bone china figurine called “Grace”. Retails at £125. She wears a pink ballgown with a pink sash breast cancer ribbon. 10% to chairty.

Jane

Jane,
Great to see your website - or should we call it an ‘insite’

I think you have an insight to the many emotions we all feel but also the fluency to express them and to dig deeper and question.
Well done.
Katie

Jane - just been on your website - i will be back, its very well put.

Grac, oh I am definitely feeling sick, need to get the domperidone right now.

Cathy

You go Jane!

Will be looking forward to reading your pieces, as always I’m sure they will be well informed and thought provoking.

Hope your chemo is working well and you get your physical voice back - your cyber voice is still being heard loud and clear.

Nicky

Ha, I just had to check out the Royal Doulton Jane…yep it’s horrible.(and it’s also on ebay for £90!) …

Just recently back from the States and a large and reputable sports store in San Francisco was selling pink rucksacks with the ribbon motif…and NO percent to charity.

Yuck.
