Not my first rodeo!

13 years ago I had breast cancer which ended in a mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction. They thought I had DCIS but after the breast was removed they discovered a small amount of IDC.

I considered myself blessed that it had all been caught before it had had chance to spread.

Every mammogram since then I have had the dread of it appearing in the other breast.

Still damn scary though!

Hello @duffer565656 !

Just wanted a send a quick reply to welcome you to the forum  I understand the anxiety that comes with scans! I just had a CT last week for some back pain, all clear thankfully, but it does stay with you. Great to hear you have had clear scans for 13 years! That will bring a lot of hope to those newly diagnosed. I hope you are keeping well and looking after yourself :sparkling_heart:

The radiographer suspects the worst as she could see one of the lumps had it’s own blood supply so I am preparing for the worst.

I have an appointment next week for the results - the waiting is awful

Oh sorry I think I’ve misunderstood! The wait is absolutely so stressful, I hope your week goes by quickly and still hoping for a positive outcome for you :crossed_fingers:
