Nottingham anyone?

I’ve been referred to Nottingham for a DIEP and wondered if anyone has had theirs done there and how long you waited.

Hi, I hope you are well.

I had a perforated flap operation which is similar to a DIEP at Mill hill hospital, Mansfield. I was transferred from my hospital because I’d been on their waiting list for nearly 2 years.

Mansfield hospital was great, I had my operation 2 months after my referral. I’m sure they probably rushed me through but I had a few more reconstruction operations after that and they were all within 6 months of the last op. I think it helps because they also use Newark hospital as well which is a lovely hospital.

I was wondering if the waiting list is too long in Nottingham you could request switching hospitals.

Thank you for replying. My local hospital doesn’t do it so they have referred me to Nottingham.
If the waiting list is too long, I’ll ask about switching. TBH I’d travel anywhere to avoid waiting any longer!!

Did you mean King’s Mill hospital in Mansfield by any chance?
