November 2017 Chemo Starters

Hi ladies, I’m afraid I’m struggling a little this time with nausea and fatigue hanging around but managing to eat and just chilling as the snow falls. Have OH and son at home to look after me as rugby training is cancelled.
I am planning on joining you poppywheel on the big shave as just before FEC 2 I started to shed heavily had my after treatment wash yesterday and hair is now falling like the snow outside so just got to decide when. It is also so itchy so could I ask again for the best advice for itchy dry scalp, thank you ?
Wishing the next few days away so that I can be further on and nearer to being myself.
Beauty and the beast sounds fab.
Have a lovely Sunday ladies xx

Jc Just passing on all the tips from May thread and thank tatyana for udderly cream tip and July and sept threads, we’d be lost without them, they will help us through rads too, we are blessed to be under their wings on this journey ??:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

???:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:otter got me craving a mince pie now. ???:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

I’ve been super productive today - listed 50 items on ebay for my son’s OH … she got an email from the bank saying her studen overdraft is coming to an end … Merry Christmas to you too!!

They have a load of stuff stored in my garage from when they moved at the beginning of the summer.  I convinced them that they have got this far without it and not missing any of it … so why not upcycle!!

It wont clear it all, but every little helps as the old lady said as she pee’d in the sea!!

One of my buddies is Jo Wheeler - sky weather girl (same age as me so I dont know if girl is appropriate)  She has just cancelled her shift tomorrow morning because of the freezing fog and ice conditions she has just learnt about from the met office … she’s in lincolnshire and would be communting into London in the early hours…   If you have to be out and about tomorrow - take care - plaster casts and chemo are not a good mix!!

???Lesley’s back ???hiya???you been watching money for nothing too mon-fri bbc ???we’ll be upcycling experts by the end of chemo ??? ???:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

And there was me thinking it’s where you picked up the lady garden washing tips from too, holly and Phil ???:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

Hi ladies, thanks for the advice and support. Called the unit and they advised what meds I could take, so after an afternoon snooze and extra meds feeling much better so hope it stays that way. Now looking forward to my roast chicken and strictly.
Hugs to all and thank you for your support xx

Glad to hear that you are feeling better, one golden rule is don’t suffer in silence x

That’s good news Carole, this time next week you’ll be back on top form!!

Fingers crossed joe gets thru tonight!!

Thanks Lesley, I had enough energy to vote ? x

Hi Poppywheel, as Chaffinch suggests definitely speak to your chemo team. I was finding chemo day increasingly difficult nausea wise and they advised me to adjust my meds for chemo day and I was much better this cycle. Don’t suffer in silence they can tell you what you can do to help deal with the SEs.

Glad Joe is thru!! Would love to see Mollie and AJ fall in love ??
Just need Ronnie to win the snooker and Toff to be Queen of the Jungle and I’m a quid up on the deal!!

The dance off was top drawer tonight, very good. Right people through though ?

Ian still being in the jungle is sticking two fingers for all the macho, chest beating, testosterone fuelled bullies out there! Shame Jenny went last night!
Amir, Dennis and Jamie should be ashamed when they watch it back!

And next weeks strictly won’t have any judges bias either!

The British public can get it spectacular wrong at times … but not when it comes to reality the votes!!
???

Morning all!

Really grim day in Kent - heavy rain and high winds … one of those days when it’s not going to get light!

I’ve very envious of anyone with snow and sunshine!

Now I am back on form, I have a busy week clearing all my work from last week properly, as opposed to the ‘holding’ emails I was firing out.  The team have admitted that they dread this week … they know I’m back to giving them a hard time!!

Hope everyone is bouncing back from 2 and gearing up for 3 … Just keep that half way stage in mind … this is a marathon not a sprint!

love to all

xx

Hi everyone all my snow has gone and it’s raining :umbrella::umbrella:, good news I feel so much better today just achy injection body.
So for me today Christmas card writing. Have a good day everyone and don’t work too hard Lesley xx

? looking forward to the official switch on tonight

Hi ladies, well done for doing so well :sparkles: all of you

I haven’t felt so low before :frowning: I didn’t sleep from 1 to 4 am, I’m crying for no reason ( or because there are so many reasons…) :frowning: and I’m no near half way through yet, I’m 4x fec, 4x t, then mastectomy and radio :(

I hope I don’t misbehave like this at th xmas table with my girls watching  x

but, well, the sun is here, and snow, and school closed for one of the girls ?

it has to get worse so that it can get better, as someone wise has said ?

have a good day xxxx

Sorry to hear that you are struggling Anadan, what stage of the latest round are you at? It’s common to feel low at the 5-6 day point on FEC as the meds wear off and you come down off the steroids. That’s where I’m at today, Day 6 FEC 4. Felt okish over the weekend but feel a bit pants today. As you say dun is shining and the only way is up x

Anadan ??? It’s ok to cry and release you are not a robot and we I am sure have all done it, it catches you when you are least expecting it. Keep focused and just think of each one ticked off as done, not you are a 4x4, it’s your journey and the nov ladies and us have got you, getting through safely is the main thing. ??we will alll get through this together united and strong we stand. ??:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx
