November 2025 Chemo Round 2

Good morning. I actually started my first round of Chemo in August. I’ve had 10 of 12 weekly infusions of Taxol. After the taxol I will have 4 AC treatments, one every other week, which should start around November 24. For the most part the Taxol side effects have been pretty mild. The primary effects, other than hair loss, have been fatigue and sinus headaches with bloody nose frequently. As the weeks progress the fatigue has increased. Nausea and tummy trouble has been very infrequent.

I’d like to know what I should expect with the AC. My doc has said we’d have that conversation as the time gets closer. Sounds like she doesn’t want to scare me. I read quite a bit about EC treatments, but not much about AC (Adriamycin and Cytoxan). I know everyone responds differently I’d just like to know what others have experienced.

I was diagnosed in August with high-grade TNBC. The treatment plan is 12 weeks Taxol, 8 weeks AC, surgery and then radiation.

Thank you for any information!

Hello @kristy1, I’m in the October 2025 group. I was just wondering if I could ask you about your experience with the paclitaxal- did you develop numbness in your fingers? I’ve done 1 cycle and I have numbness in all my finger tips already :disappointed: consultant is reducing my dose next week.

I do hope someone replies about your AC question soon to help support you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi there! I hate to hear that you are already having neuropathy issues. I have not had any issues; But I have been wearing compression gloves and socks, and cold therapy ice pack gloves and socks while getting the treatments each week. I had read about the ice and my oncologist recommended the compression.

Good luck with the rest of your treatment!

Thank you. Best of luck to you as well.

I used compression socks and gloves with ice packs and still developed it. Going to keep going with it next week though. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
