Nuclear bone scan results

Hi

I had a CT scan on Thursday and also a nuclear bone scan as been having some abdominal issues and pain in ribs and back. When the bone scan had finished the radiographer wanted to do another further scan of abdomen and pelvis. At the end of this when I was leaving, she said that I would get the results in a couple of days and checked who had referred me. The scans were arranged by my breast cancer nurse ( breast cancer stage 2b last year) so I haven’t seen a doctor yet. My question is, if it is good news would I hear that quickly? I am assuming it is good news and the results don’t need to be discussed at an MDT meeting, my BC nurse can just phone me with the results- all clear. Or am I going to get the results that quickly because something has shown up? I have been wondering. Does anyone have experience of this?

Couple of days for results is normal in my area if that helps. As are extra scans sometimes the first scan might not be clear enough or they may want more detail on certain areas, it doesn’t mean anything one way or another generally I don’t think. Scans bring out the anxiety in all of us x

Hi there, new to all this.  I had a bone scan a couple of weeks ago, then a chest xray and the consultant called me to say they were not happy with the scan, but didn’t elaborate.  I had BC in 2003, mastectomy, recon / chemo/rads.  I’ve been pretty much “free” since 2013 when I stopped arimidex, and this is such a shock to me.  I’ve since had a ct scan and an MRI. I had an appt for today to go over the results, but the consultant is on holiday so it’s been scheduled for 28th.  I can’t cope with this, I’ve called the hospital and they’ve asked me to go in on 21st with my husband.  Does this sound like good news???
