Number of bras!

I have a couple of these and they are very comfortable and do up easily. I didn’t wear bras pre-surgery though and after nearly two years i am braless again

:joy: I’ve had fun with underwires in the past - I’ve all but given them up now . Just one black underwired one hanging on in my collection that for some reason is comfier and better fitting than any other underwired one I’ve ever had.

Hi kingsbreasts, You can buy bra forms etc to put in the pockets of your bras. Go online at Amoena they do all sorts of lingerie and bras and bra forms etc. You can phone for advice, send for bras and return if necessary. I have ordered on line strappy tops and swim wear. If you live near to Southampton they have a shop in Eastleigh which you can visit in the mornings but for fittings etc you need to make an afternoon appointment. After my mastectomy I had an appointment for a proper fitting. The ladies there are very helpful with advice and will let you try on numerous bras, swimwear etc. Hope all goes well for you. Take care. Sunshine21

Hello :slight_smile: thank you for the tip. I’ve seen the bra forms and I’ll probably regret it if I don’t look into them as an option for some outfits etc. I’m hoping to have a reconstruction but I’ve heard the waiting list is rather lengthy so these forms may be a good alternative for the wait time. Knowing me I’ll end up exposing myself and loosing one somehow :joy:, it’s happened before with those “chicken fillet” bra stuffers when I was in my teens :flushed:

Ahh I know the bra, it’s the one you go to every day and hate when it’s in the laundry. I had one of those but the bigger betrayed me and stuck me with the underwire. Never found one like it since :joy:

I ended up buying a sewing pattern online to make a bra (includes pocket option too). Think company was called Primrose Dawn. Not yet got round to making one.

Im using the Sainsburys front zip sports bra but was told I can now wear a proper bra (no underwire) ive gone from an F cup to a C. All the nonwired bras seem so dull and fufull cupped. My granny wouldnt wear them! Ive bought some cheap bras in sale and took the underwire out. So far Ive bought 7.

Having started this thread several months ago, just wanted to offer up a little positivity !!!
Having purchased and mostly discarded 20+ bras in the last 12 months, I am now back wearing my lacy wired pre BC ones. I’d hidden them away in a separate drawer where I couldn’t see them as a reminder, but now they’ve been resurrected and back in use.
I know I’m lucky that my boobs are mostly intact following lumpectomy. Still hate the fact that my BC boob is unnaturally firm compared to my normal soft saggy one !!! Was contemplating in the shower this morning maybe they could irradiate the other one to match :thinking:
So now the miserable plain zip front ones are for the charity shop or Jo at Preloved Reloved :heart: there are pretty bras in our futures ladies xxxxx

I know !!! It’s nuts the odd thoughts that go through your mind sometimes !!!
I know it’s totally inappropriate, but when my mind is having a weird wandering moment, breast irradiation seems like the perfect treatment for saggy droopy boobs !!!;
Mad, mad, mad !!!
