October 2015 Chemotherapy starters - please join!

Glad you are more comforable now Suzy and hope it stays that way so you can enjoy your weekend.

Home now and apart from feeling a bit spaced out after the large dose of antihistimine before the T I’m not feeling too bad. Wish I could have a glass of wine to celebrate the end of chemo but think safer to leave it for a week or so before I do that!!

xx

Hi all, don’t know whether you guys are still around or have moved on, but just thought I would post to say I finished my rads today so I think I am officially finished treatment!!

Thanks to all you lovelies for your support and I hope you’re all doing ok. I feel fab and am planning to do my first parkrun since Sept to celebrate!

Over and out x

Hi Ele, great that you are done and can start thinking about returning to real life soon. Take it easy though … you need to ease yourself back in I’m sure. Hope you can plan something really nice to celebrate.

I’m nine days after my final chemo. Very tired on and off but as long as I don’t do too much I’m not feeling too bad. Worst thing today is my nails and fingers being sore.

I’m having node clearance on 2nd March. If no more evidence is found of any others affected then they say I won’t have to have radiotherapy so I’ve everything crossed that this is the case otherwise treatment is likely to drag on until April. Above all I’m desperate to book a little holiday so having the finish line in sight will be very welcome … a bit like for you when you do your park run I expect.

I don’t plan on abandoning this place so do keep popping in to let us know how you are and how the training is going. It’s been great chatting with you here these last few months and you have often made me laugh - the best medicine.
