I had the same chemo as you, EC. Sorry to hear you are feeling rough. I hope the drugs help. Did you get two types of anti sickness? I did but one cant be started until tomorrow. I am also trying ginger drinks, but for me it is just waves not all the time. I hope you feel better soon.

i’ve been checking in and out and making sure everyone is ok but sorry i’ve been so lazy with life i honestly havnt had the get up and go.
So ive been having treatment weekly and following my treatment yesterday that’s my first cycle done 
Had a little trip to hospital last friday for ?blood clot to PICC as had pain and altered sensation but it was fine 
However this trip was on my day three and 
wasn’t ideal!
I’m finding day 2-3 my worst and then i start to pick up!
This altered sensation though i’m starting to wonder if it’s slight neuropathy 
Anyways i’m hanging in there just when feeling well focusing all my time on my girls 
Well done everyone who survived their first chemo today and this week! what a massive hurdle to climb

My girls have taken to sleeping with daddy and i’m having my daughters room room and space! Feel bad and slightly sad but equally i’m sleeping like a dream

Hi all, reading these posts are making me feel so much better and have been writing notes and downloading apps recommended, so thank you!
I had my first oncologist appointment on Wednesday and will be having my first chemo on the 31st October, starting with 2 weekly EC 3 cycles of thay and then on to 3 weekly Docetaxel which is 4 cycles and alongside thay Phesgo which will continue after surgery for another 14 sessions. Feels like so much coming up!
Had flu jab yesterday, and need MRI the injection that medically induces menopausal (what a joy) and the picc line to be put in and also recommended to get my hair cut above the shoulder because of the EC but will be doing cold caping to try and save it. Just so much to take in!

@nastynork and @orchid2 glad your first chemo is over…one down…. I’m on the same one and started Tuesday, sickness has now gone off….just got slight constipation issue!

I’m another triple positive club member. I’m slightly ahead of you on the treatment plan - I have my last lot of chemo on Wednesday before moving on to the surgery stage. I wanted to introduce myself as I think the hardest part of the journey so far for me is finding women of similar age going through a similar diagnosis. I am always the youngest on the chemo ward and it gets to me quite a bit. Have you been given your clinical stage yet? Also I see you’re trying the cold cap. I was advised not to bother, but I didn’t listen and did it anyway and whilst my hair is noticeably thinner I’m happy I did it. X

Just had my Amazon delivery arrive with lots of supplies for Thursday… but I’ve just thought… how do I just the suzzipads on my hands if I have a cannula in it. I’ve not been offered a PICC line, even when I was on weekly paxlitaxol.

I felt like I was the youngest on the chemo ward when I tried 2 weeks ago. Makes it hard when you go to sessions and you are noticeably younger than everyone else… for me it makes unhelpful thoughts of why has this happened to me creep into my head

Okay, so I found the same problem with the.suzzipads so I just got an ice block and just rested my cannulated hand on it…seems to have done the trick.

The why is the worse part. I still have moments where I ask the question and for a long time it tore me up. Myy husband wisely said to me, you have to choose how you’re going to do this journey. You either do it with added baggage or you choose to travel lighter. Focus your energy on being kind to yourself. X

Triple negative here too 
i feel you with the age thing as im only 35 and i seem to defo be the youngest by at least 10-15 years on my three times going! How old are you?
Can i ask what treatment plan you were on? Did u have the pembro? on my bloods this week my ALT levels were quite raised although still in permeates! It just worries me they’re gunna say maybe i can’t have it!
Also i’m so glad and it’s nice to hear positive with the cold cap as i am also cold capping!
and i’m finding they keep saying random things like when you loose your hair the cap will fit even better! But then quickly changing it to if you loose your hair!
Well done for getting through this stage i can’t image how it must feel as feels so long off yet but i can only image the relief!

Hey lovely…I’m actually triple positive. I’m 41… literally diagnosed after my birthday…pft. Honestly I’m so glad I tried cold capping. Each person is different but I find taking paracetamol before hand helps with stopping a headache from developing. I’ve read some people find the first 15 minutes difficult but I honestly don’t. I think the hardest part is the smell of my hair afterwards. I’ve developed quite an aversion to the conditioner now and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to use it again once chemo has finished.
My blood have been all over the place and had to have a dose adjustment. My oncologist told me that these things happen and at the end of the day, we have to be able to live after chemo without a million and one side effects. If they do delay your treatment then trust their judgment. They’ve done this a million times before and know what they’re doing.
You’ll be surprised how quickly the chemo stage goes. I’m almost nervous about stopping tbh, although I’ll have immunotherapy afterwards. It’s a long journey but ever thankful we have access to these treatments.

So Will you start the immunotherapy after surgery etc?
So i’m having the immunotherapy three weekly at the moment and i think ill be having it for a year! 
and yes i guess your right it’s important to trust their judgement! and my nurse tried to reassure me even one week if you have to have a break wouldn’t matter in the grand scheme of things!
How did u find the weekly and daily symptom worrying?
i feel i have kinda realised a pattern on what days i feel poo but every little twinge or cough i’m like omg!
and the constant worrying about germs is killing me i sware!
i have to agree ive been taking paracetamol before the cold capping and now its not bothering me at all! i have hope it will hang on

Hi, I got my front opening one with pockets from Marks & Spencers which was only £20 but I got VAT relief on them so only paid £16,
