Odd question but has anyone's pets been behaving oddly?

When I was on chemo my son’s rotweilier would often try to get into bed with me.On the occasional times that he managed it he’d put his head on the pillow and pretend to be asleep. He was a big brute and there was no way I could shift him. He’d slyly open one eye just to keep an eye on me,and quickly close it if he thought I’d noticed! I just gave up in the end and cuddled up.I’m sure it’s not reccomended - and lord knows what bugs were dwelling on his coat!He never bothered once my treatment was over.He just slipped back into his roll of Bruce the guard dog.

My weim spends every waking hour with me she can…she is my solid rock…I love her uncondtionally. She has been in bed with me all afternoon, head on the pillow next to me keeping me warm. I give her what she needs, exercise, discipline, nutrition and love…but she gives me a whole lot more.

I am so glad to have found this post - my male cat was acting strange right from the point where I found my lump. Now he barely comes near me, whether its because I have been in hospital twice and he holds a grudge for that I don’t know. He has been all over my boyfriend though which again is odd as he always came to me for cuddles!!. I think he is confused as he is normally out all day until I get home from work, but as I am off at the mo, its ruined his routine…

I had 2 dogs and some cats when I had the first diagnosis. In retrospect after the diagnosis, I realised that the male dog had been sniffing the relevant breast for some weeks beforehand. I remembered that briefly once I wondered whether there was a reason for it. I wish I had acted! He’s been quite caring and my two female cats also come and sit on me, one of them quite near the breast area which sometimes isn’t really what I want … ! There is nothing quite so comforting when lying in the bed chemo’d out to have the dog in the room and the cat on the bed… almost ashamed to say, even than my partner!

My husband has become very keen on ironing lately and won’t let me carry shopping - does that count?

Would that my husband was behaving oddly! LOL!
