Hi everyone,
I’ve just stumbled across this recent research looking at the use of Protein Pump Inhibitors during chemo (taken to reduce stomach acid), and ongoing memory issues. Many of us take PPIs such as Omeprazole, and they’ve found a statistical link across three different studies that were actually looking at other issues, but which had gathered the data they needed.
I don’t want to cause anyone any anxiety as it’s early days in the research, but if I was taking them as a matter of routine, or maybe prescribed them a while ago, then I’d want to research it more and consider whether they’re still necessary.
