My sister’s friend broke her leg after she was mowed into by a kid on a bike.
I fractured my neck milking a sheep!
Oh Sue, has no-one told it’s dangerous to try to milk a sheep whilst standing on your head!!!
lol - wisnae standing on my head - sheep was putting her entire weight over in my direction and she would have crushed me had I not used my head to keep her upright! I won in that I got the milk, she won in that I spent ages in physiotherapy - wasn’t a serious break!
I don’t think they could believe it at A&E - especially as I’d already been in with a dislocated shoulder that month after fighting with a tup!
I once sort of fell onto a bus.It was the old open backed sort.I was 16 and wearing huge platforms and tried to jump on as it was leaving the bus stop.I think I was more likely to die of embarassment than my injuries.
LOL the fashion police should have got you for this one
lol!
Oh Tricia -I used to wear platforms,. Got my first ones after watching Rod Stewart perfom " You wear it well". They were black and white plastic and I spent more time trying to upright myself than walking. Thought i woz the dogs whatsits staggering about. Remember walking throught the Floral Garden in edinburgh with my dad and an old alkie pointed at my shoes and laughed at me. I was so incensed especially as my dad laughed too!!!
My daughter broke her wrist painting the outside of a lighthouse! She rarely admits that she was standing on the ground at the time!
Silversue.
I disclocated my wrist by falling out of the bath & banging my arm against the toilet bowl.
Also fell ‘up’ the stairs a few times … at one point I had the tumble drier at te top of the satirs in an alcove, was rushing to get ready for work - was running up the stairs with a cup of coffee… tripped, coffee cup went flying - right into the open door of the tumble drier, which of course contained my work trousers for that day (I was cheating and doing the 5 mins in the TD rather than ironing them) … I just swore, made fresh coffee and phoned in sick to work!
Lilac - sure your employer isn’t using this site??!? lol
I collapsed my lung putting on stockings!!! Honest I did. I had punctured it the day before skiing on a dry ski slope in wales and didnt know. I was getting ready to go out the next night when I bent to put on my stockings squashed my lung. I was hit by a coach once as well luckily it was in a carpark and not going fast! thanks for the laughs ladies luv Diane x
Sue - it’s safe - I was in a different job to this one when I chucked the coffee in the TD… and anyways, my current employers would see the funny side of it.
luckydi, now we know why you have that thread name!
I once fell off my pushbike into the path of a bus. It braked intime so I kept my skull but broke my foot. I then continued on my journey with a sore foot and bloody leg, finding out once it swelled up it was broken.
So does falling into the path of a bus count for my chance?!
Great thread!
