I have had my second dose of taxotere following 4 x AC. A runny nose has been a nuisance from the start but now it has become a real problem. I am pretty sure its not a cold developing because I have no other symptoms and my temperature is normal for me. I would appreciate any tips that you ladies can offer. Father Christmas had better be bringing lots of boxes of tissues with a balm coating for my little nose!
Sorry I have no tips. I had my last taxotere on 16/11. During the chemo I am afraid it continued. It has decreased now and I am only bothered when out in cold weather of which we are having some at the moment!
I just carried a large hanky! I sympathise. It was very embarrassing and would run without any warning. Likewise by eyes as well which have got better.
How I sympathise!! I had runny nose etc. Found out eventually it was due to no nasal hair. Also had runny eyes, no doubt due to no whatever, I don’t know. All I know is that I had runny eyes and runny nose and numb face and neuropathy in hands and feet. Crap taxo but effective.
Good luck to you and good luck to us all.

I know this isn’t funny and I hope I’m not supsetting anyone by saying this but do you think there could be a gap in the market here ??? fake nasal hair ???
Just to join in the sympathy. Is lack of nasal hair and very very embarrassing! Keep tissues around in your hand at every possible moment. FB - you could be right! But till then just have tissues handy. Really feel for you and remember it so clearly. It will pass though. Cling to that.
Thanks for your input into this situation. At least I am reassured that it is the tax and I am not alone with my runny nose. It is also good to hear that it should subside when the taxotere is finished.
Hi Andie
I don’t think its just the TAx - I only had AC and had the same problem but as it was during the summenr everyone thought I had hayfever! I had trouble with my eyes too and they gave me drops for that - never asked about my nose just got use to it after a whilst and they soon grow back.
