Oncotype scores pre menopause ladies

Post surgery my results came back as follows:

13mm grade 2, invasive ductal carcinoma with associated vascular invasion, high grade DCIS, whole IDC tumour element size 13mm, all margins clear, 1/2 lymph nodes micromet postive, ER 8, PR 8, HER2 negative, NPI 4.26, pT1c pN1a (MI)

I am awaiting Oncotype to influence chemo decision on proposed treatment plan.

Anyone similar diagnosis share there results to help me understand and prepare for my Appointment on Wednesday. I’m not worried. More concerned if chemo isnt offered given the minor node involvement and LVI.

I appreciate everyone’s genetics are different.

I’m age 46 and pre menopause.

Thanks x

I’m 36 (35 at diagnosis)

Tumour was 22mm IDC with surrounding DCIS taking total area to 36mm. Some LVI (was told this isn’t really relevant as they don’t make treatment decisions based on it) but no lymph node involvement.

Oncotype 23, and I’m on chemo now. I think for my age and stats, the oncotype would have had to be under 20 to not be offered chemo and if it had been over 25 I’d have had a more aggressive chemo.

Morning :growing_heart: mine is a grade 3, 13mm tumor hormone positive/her2 negative and I’m 34 years old. They’ve decided to not send mine off for oncotype testing as they deem it a benefit because of my age. I’m getting the official results today so will find out more :growing_heart:

Bless you. Thanks for your message. Really helpful info to have. I feel like in dark on so much. I try to get answers but get minimum. Hope the treatment is going ok and sending lots of love and strength your way x

This is an interesting thread! I’m 46 and I’ve found out my oncotype score is 19, which I understand to be in a grey area in terms of whether chemo will be needed.

Initial diagnosis was in Aug ‘25 - IDC grade 3, ER+, HER2-, 15mm tumour. They subsequently found two smaller satellite tumours which were lobular and grade 2. Lymph nodes are clear.

I had a lumpectomy with flap reconstruction on 20-Nov but they didn’t get clear margins due to the tumour being larger than expected so I had further surgery 30-Dec. I was expecting to get the margin results this Weds but I’ve just learnt this has been pushed back to next Weds (21-Jan) - whilst I am forever grateful for the NHS, all this waiting is so frustrating!

My understanding is that I won’t see the oncologist until my surgeon refers me, and I am assuming she won’t refer me until the margins are clear… so whilst I know I will be having radiotherapy, I still don’t know about chemo. I know it makes no material difference right now but it would be nice to know the plan!
