I dont know if any of you saw the One show on Friday evening, if not you can view it BBCiplayer (9th Dec), it was very intersting and showed a lady before during and after the op. I found it very interesting especially as I am waiting for a date for my op.
I also am so glad fellow sufferers are prepared to allow cameras into their lifes.
Thanks for that, I didn’t see the programme but may catch it on iplayer as I had recon in September.

Yes it was really helpful in parts to me although she did a problem which made the op longer over 11 hours
eek, I think mine was nine hours (delayed recon) and it was only that long because they had trouble finding a vein. The woman opposite me (mx and recon) had to go back in as a vein hadn’t been tied off properly or something but we were both out on day seven. It’s a bit like childbirth really, seems awful at the time but you soon forget the bad bits when you see the results

I have just come out of hospital for this operation. Im so glad i went through with it since is such a scary option. I just thought I would let you know that the pain is no where near as bad as I expected, in fact I have no pain at all in the breast area. There is some pain in the scar across my stomach, but nothing that cant be handled. Good luck with your operation, it will be worth it )
