Good luck Swampy,it’s daunting but it does feel so much better after op when you know they have taken the bugger out!!!
Hiya Swampy
Every best wish for a smooth and successful op. I’m 6 weeks post MX/DIEP, all going well but still taking it easy.
You’ll get loads of support and info here, xx C
Hi, I’ve got DCIS high grade and I had my pre op and a chat with the BCN today for my WLE on Monday 25 th. I’m having a wire put in first then surgery , I was petrified yesterday with all sorts going through my head but the BCN was amazing she showed me my mammogram and the size and situation of it and explained everything fully I’ll probably be having radiotherapy after I’ve recovered but it all depends on my results . My advice if your at all worried about anything at all is to ring your BCN and have a chat. I felt I didn’t want to bother them but mine didn’t mind at all good luck with everything love Clair xxx
Hi Swampy. Counting in sleeps is the best way to count and getting the op out of the way felt like such a great hurdle to have leapt. I just wish we could be as speedy as Jessica Ennis Hill at clearing them all quickly! The bus will get you, but it seems to be past the worst after a further 3 or 4 sleeps! X
How did it go? I had my op on 18th too!
Hi Swampy. So glad it went well and hope you’re now enjoying sleeps rather than counting them. I dint much like roller coasters as a kid and the emotional one is not fun at all. Hugs xx
Hi, I feel the same, ‘moving around very gingerly’ yep Deffo doing that I have a little boy who likes to jump on me so I’m always on edge! I don’t have a nurse visiting me and chose to change my own dressing rather than go back in to hospital. I have started leaving the house just with my mam to look for nice things for the garden. I am looking forward to feeling myself again, are you managing with the exercises? My main worry now is the test results x
