Optima question

Do you know if I can still do Optima if I have had 3 surgeries over 6 months? Is says you have to be no more than 12 weeks dince surgery…is that ladt surgery or first please? By the time I get my results from surgery 3, it will be 5 weeks, then I have yo wait for oncologist. Will I be in time?

Hi bluesatsuma

Thanks for posting.

The OPTIMA trial inclusion criteria does, as you mention, say that people can’t participate in the trial if it has been more than 12 weeks since your surgery.

However, it isn’t clear whether this time is from your last surgery, where multiple surgeries have been required.

Your local clinical trials team should be able to confirm whether you would be eligible to take part or you can get further information about the OPTIMA contacting OPTIMA@warwick.ac.uk
