Hi Lynn, I was diagnosed with secondaries to the bone in May last year, about half way through my chemo. I take a daily biophospate (Bondronat)tablet and am on tamoxifen. As far as I know my SE’s (hot flushes, achey joints etc) are all due to the tamox. An elderly friend of my parents takes the same medication for osteoporosis that I take for the mets - will find out in 2 weeks how the mets are doing when I see my Onc - I too get stiff and achy joints but find it all bearable. So sorry you had to wait so long to find out, but now that you know I guess you can deal with it. I have been told if things deteriorate they can zap the hot spots with rads. Many ladies on here are doing well with these sorts of diagnosis so dont despair, take care xdebbiex
