hello
im about 6 weeks into tamoxifen(1 1/2 pkts)
this last week ive had a dodgy tummy
not quite running to loo all the time but going up to 5 times a day!
quite light headed too
i was starting to feel better but this has knocked me back again.
i have also developed a couple of tiny white lumps on eyelids
could any of this be side effects or maybe its my magnet lol
I really wouldn’t worry, I’m sure it is simply a coincidence. I used to blame Tamoxifen for everything - including global warming! Just remember it helps keep the cancer monster at bay.
Good luck,
AlexG

I’ve now been 13 weeks on Arimidex, & while I think there is a tendency to put every twinge down to side effects, I must say that I, too, am going to the loo more often than I used to, & not to be indelicate, I don’t mean for a wee. Don’t have diarrhoea (sp?) or anything, but when I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go.
thankyou for the replys ladies
Hi Ladies I to am having to go to the bathroom more often and a little faster but as my joints are cracking and my bathroom is upstairs it can be tricky at times lol oh well thank goodness others are the same and we can look on the funny side. I have been on Arimidex for 2.1/2 pkts. xxx

iv been on tamoxifen on and off for 4 years and i find it does the opposite… its very drying effects… constipation, dry itchy skin, dry mouth, dry eyes, dry scalp, but nothing major.

Have read many comments about side effects of arimidex and am feeling frustrasted at the lack of commitment by consultants in acknowledging the wide range of side effects. Was on tamoxifen for 8 months then have ben on arimidex since last August. Have just been referred to eye specialist for ‘flashes’ to the side of my eye and was diagnosed with a tear in my retina which would have led to detachment. Had to have laser surgery same day (it hurts a lot - surgeon did not tell me that)and he was non commital about medication being responsible. Thankfully was not a secondary issue. He indicated could be related to ageing - am 53!?but would not acknowledge any correaltion with medication. The more I read about similar cases, the more I question the dangers of these medications.
