paclitaxel hair loss??

HI
can any one give me a clue when i can expect my hair to start falling on on paclitaxel? i asked the nurse but she wasnt very sure, have had 2 treatments so far (weekly) and am hoping to get a nice short funky hairdo before i end up shaving it off completely.

for me it was around 4-5 weeks from start.

I am using the cold cap and although my hair has thinned it still looks reasonable ,although cold in this weather! I am due Taxol number 7 tomorrow

I’ve just had weekly number 9 and hair is thin - but still there - seems to be shedding all the time - but its easier since i had it cut very short- chemo nurse says it varies from person to person…jayne

Hi Caz. I have wondered the same. I am having my 3rd weekly Taxol today (15th) and am shedding hair all the time but no large patches. I was wondering if it is worth having it cut short or will it be all gone quite soon. When I had my original dx 10 years ago and was having chemo every 3 weeks it had all gone before the 2nd chemo but as other people are saying we are all different its just there is hair in everything at the moment, Let me know how you go on.

i have had mine all chopped into a “posh” and very happy with it apparantly for once in my life i am quite fashionable as the pixie look is in for hair!
am shedding on my pillow in the morning and coming out around the house but am determined to holdon to it for christmas.
definitly worth having a nice cut it has really made me feel good about myself!
