Pain a few weeks after WLE and SNLB?

Hi!

I had a WLE and SNLB 6 weeks ago! I’m now on 2nd round chemo.
I had no probs at all after the surgery, amazingly hardly any pain, and I routinely did all my exercises.
Over the last few days I’ve developed a sort of tight tugging pain under my armpit and sharp pain around my nipple and my breast feels quite hard.
I’ll talk to the BCN when I see her, but was just wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar a few weeks after the op.
Many thanks
Kelly

I had the same op on Oct 17.I still have some discomfort and hardness. I was examined at my appointment last week and they seemed to think everything is progressing ok.I would still check with the BCN but think its all probably normal.

Best wishes.

Hi Kelly

Do you get to see your oncologist just before each round of chemo?

I had a similar issue and brought it up at my appointment and the oncologist examined me and put my mind at rest.

Hope this helps x

Any sign of cording Kelly?

I’m wondering if the tugging is felt when you move your arm. I’ve got 2 seperate problems that are vaguly similar.

From chemo my veins are pulling. Can see them under my skin.

Then after my lumpectony and SNB there is cording. Like hard taut strings under the skin.

I’m experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort too…bcn said it’s cording and nerve damage but to keep moving it and if it doesn’t improve I can get physio.Certainly hope it does as it’s difficult even to get dressed…early days syill, I know…only a couple of weeks since op and 18 nodes removed.
