Pain after Lumpectomy

Hi everyone.

I had a lumpectomy in my right breast in July 20 followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy and then 12 months later I started getting bad pains and what looked like bruises on my breast. I went to the hospital and they scanned me and found an oil cyst. Things calmed down a bit but a couple of months ago pain started again in my right breast and right ribs right under breast ( but only when touched) I have been back and my scans have all come back clear, which is good but the doctor now wants to do a bone scan to try and rule out anything sinister before referring me to a pain clinic. Having to have a bone scan has sent me a little crazy into worry that I may have secondary cancer.
has anyone else had similar symptoms to me and experience pain 2 1/2 years after surgery? Or used a pain clinic?

thanks x

Dear Kaz

Thinking of you, what a worrying time you are having at the moment, unfortunately ever ache and pain we have after Breast Cancer or any cancer is a worry, we run away with our thoughts I feel it’s good news that the hospital are arranging a bone scan for you and covering all aspects of what’s happening at the moment.
I had a lumpectomy almost 3 years ago now and I still have pain from time to time.

I always say one day at a time, and let’s hope all goes well for you with a good outcome.

Please let us know how your getting one. Biggest hugs Tili :rainbow: :rainbow:
