Hi, i have just finished my chemo and am due for a lumpectomy on 19th june, i just wondered if anyone has experienced pain /ache in the lump area? this is how i first noticed the lump as i was having pain in the area, i know it is rare that lumps with pain are cancer, guess i was unlucky.
The pain has been there on and off since diagnosis!
Best wishes to everyone

Hi Sarah and Mary,
me too! I’ve had 8 lots of chemo and am having a lumpectomy on 19th June. Although the lump has shrunk a lot I’m experience aching in that area and that is also how I first became aware of it.I told my surgeon that I’m worried that it might be growing again and he assured me that, just under a month after the end of chemo, this is very unlikely. He said that some aching is normal, although he didn’t go into any more detail.
Best wishes, Liza x
Hi Liza, my lump started st 6cms and shrunk to 2cms on AC ,then was supposed to have 4 taxotere but my lump did start to grow again and they were disappointed that it hadn’t responded as well to the tax,so only had three, the lump taken away was 4cms.
If you are unsure ask again,
Take Care,

Hi Mary, I’ve had 4 x AC and 4 x Taxotere and they say that the lump has shrunk from 5cm to 1cm. I’m having a lumpectomy on 19th June. I’ve read on another post that you’re having radiotherapy now; hope it’s going ok?
Take care, Liza Xxx
