Hello,
I have regular pain in my ribs but it comes and goes, some weeks it will be really painful and others there is no pain whatsoever! i have been to my docs and they said that i dont need to worry about it…but i do! Im on Tamoxafen and Zoladex. just need my mind putting to rest, does anybody else get this?

Yes I get a pain in my ribs too but it does come and go I am also on Tam and Zoladex. I mentioned it at my last appt and they said that if it comes and goes it is nothing to worry about and is probably an effect of rads - which makes sense as it is that area. I have my next appt 6th Jan so I will be mentioning it again.

I get pains in my ribs that come and go. Sometimes it is with movement other times if I touch certain points the ribs feel bruised but these symptoms vary by the day. I am on Tamoxifen and 11 months past chemo and radiotherapy. I wondered if it was after effects of radiotherapy - burnt ribs!
I saw my Onc on Friday and after trying 2 weeks of Ibruprophen and ribs still being sore she is sending me for a bone scan, I do still have my fingers crossed that it is a side effect of the rads.

Good luck with the bone scan. I’m having one on Tues cos of pain in my left hip. Am like you hoping for the best but fearing the worst. It is good to get these things checked out.

Thanks Kinden, good luck for Tuesday I will have everything crossed for you. How long does it take to get the results? I had a bone scan when I was first dx but everything was such a blur I cant remember.

It went ok dont know anything just waiting for the results, it was a nightmare getting there with the snow.
I havent heard from Kinden but I think like me she is struggling to work her way round this site, will try to send her a message.

Ive not been on here for a while, blimey this new web site is a bit confusing. Just to say hope the bone scan went ok desoite the snow. My results came back ok and they just think its either rads damage or possibly a virus causing problems as its where the cartilage and the bone joins right on the botton rib.

Thanks for your comments still waiting for results rang today both oncs sec and bcn but both said result wasnt back so will have to wait till monday - got mammo then joy upon joys.

Oh had my first mammo last Monday, pinched a bit but she didnt squeeze so hard on the BC breast so ironically the left hurt far more!! They found a couple of cysts in the none BC breast but they arent worried so neither am I. Good luck for the mammo too. Let us know how you get on.

Have just emailed you all but will post on here for anyone in the same boat. Got my results today and woo hoo all clear (cant begin to describe the relief).
Mammo went ok but Ive got to wait 2 weeks for the results ARRRHHHH. Not too concerned as it is routine rather than requested because of a problem if that makes sense.

So glad to hear the results were clear, well done. I was thinking about you all day at work wondering if you had got hold of the results. Glad to hear the mammo wasnt too bad, annoying about having to wait but two weeks will fly by and like you said just the routine one. Where did that last year go?
Will now go and pick up your e mail but thought I would pop in here first, Im on a late shift this week so have just popped on line before going to bed.
Trish hope you see this, great to hear from you, sorry you are still struggling a bit, believe me we may sound all chipper in here but we all have those demons who sit on our shoulders and whisper doubts in our ear.
