Hello
I am a 27 year old breastfeeding woman
Since last week i have pain in my left armpit , the area above my breast with the feeling of pins and needles in my breast
Breastfeeding is uncomfortable from that side
I cant left my arm or lie down from thr pain as it does radiate to my arm and back
Did a breast ultrasound but it came back clear and no mastitis no lumps
Had bi rads 1 score
Doctor said it is not something breast related and i had to live with it
Dont know what it is
Did anyone have a problem like that?
Welcome to the forum. I’m so pleased you have been examined by a doctor and had an ultrasound. I breastfed many years ago and there were many ups and downs. As the doctor feels that it’s not breast related did they offer any alternative views? Is it a nerve issue, especially thinking of the pins and needles? Having a small child you will be lifting a lot and there are many nerves that run from your neck into your arms. I’m having issues post surgery/treatment so I have found out about this. I was given a physio appointment and lots of exercises and stretches to help as well as pain relief.
I’m not medical professional just thinking about my own issues and how it could be something similar in that area.
Maybe if not better after Christmas you go back.
Maybe others will respond but as the forum is breast cancer based there may not be many. Are you able to look at breastfeeding forums ( I’m assuming there will be some)?
