Hi I was diagnosed with bc last week and now have these shooting aches and pains all over but also in my hip. I never had this s week ago. Do you think it could be stress??
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
Yes it might be stress,
When I was diagnosed first time I was in so much pain the next day, I phoned my BCN and she explained this was not unusual. So much to take in …
Hope you get a treatment plan soon so you have something more concrete to focus on.
Warmest wishes
I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis.
It’s hard to say, yes it could be stress. It’s normal to feel that everything ache and pain could be cancer, we’ve all been there. Sharing how you are feeling on here might help. I
It might be helpful to chat to a BCN nurses 0808 800 6000 just to chat everything through. They are open today 9-4, closed tomorrow, back at 9 on Thursday.
Between diagnosis and surgery I had sharp and frequent twinges of pain in both breasts ( though cancer only on the right ) both armpits and sides of my neck none of which interfered with my daily activity. These all miraculously disappeared after surgery - so yes it could be stress. I think the anxiety causes a lot of tension within the body for a start and then because we have found out that something isn’t right we put ourselves on high alert and something we might not normally even notice then translates as pain. Take care x
You’re completely right, when I’m busy doing something then I don’t feel any thing then as soon as my mind races then the aches and pains start. Very odd
