Hi all.
Before chemo, my passport expired and i had new photos done. During chemo my hair fell out. Should my new one be with my bald head or do i use the photos i took before chemo? It’ll take me years to get my hair that long again.
Thanks

Hi,
I would use an old photo, ie the same photo as your previous passport, I always do!
Your face hasn’t changed and the eye recognition doesn’t care whether you are wearing a wig or not. It’s still the same old you underneath
Sending lots of positive vibes on your way to recovery. X
I would use the photos with hair. Passport recognition works off position of eyes, nose, mouth etc. People change their hair all the time. A year after chemo has stopped, you will have beautiful hair, even if it’s different, and you won’t want to spend the following 9 years with a bald photo on your passport.
Totally agree with above two replies…
Use an old photo or one with a wig. As unbelievable as it seems, your hair will grow back. It takes a long time and it will be different, but you will get through this. We all have. All best to you.
Ar the time of needing to renew my passport my hair had started to grow back and was short, curly and grey. It is usually a straight, chin length bob, light brown (dyed ). I looked so different but still got in and out of the country!! It never occurred to me to wear my wig for the photo. That’s what chemo brain does for you !!!
Best wishes to you.
Thanks all. I’ve checked with passport people. Photo must be from within last month for renewal or new passport. I cannot use an old one.
