path results on monday

So finally after waiting since the 3rd may when i had mastectomy and aux lymph node clearance i finally get to have results on monday. From the biopsy before my op the BS told me it was defo in one lymph node possibe two or as he said could be six but until they look at them they wont know,i asked what type of cancer it was,BS said its a rare one (apocrine)? but once i had my op that could all change as the lump was 5cm poss 6cm and in his words ," we only biopsied a small part, imagine a trifle and poking your finger in the middle ,you may have orange jelly underneath but poke your finger by the edge and it could be strawberry underneath".The only other tests i have had is chest xray which was clear and I see bone density blood tests on my pre op bood test form,I asked nurse and she said they were normal. So i guess my question is what exactly will they tell me on monday? my breast care nurse has rang me once since my op,and she said she was going to call me back few days after but she didnt…My appointment on monday is with the breast surgeon again, will i also see the onc or is it usual to have a diff appointment for that ? , sorry for all the questions ,i had been putting off thinking about the bloody results until now lol ,thanks in advance xx

Hi Jackie
I had a WLE and SNB, at my initial meeting with my surgeon post surgery I was told the grade of the cancer (2), size (19mm), that it was Oestrogen positive and that I had a micro met in one of the 4 lymph nodes biopsied, due to the micro met I then had an ANC and had to go back again for the results of the full clearance, my remaining nodes were clear. I was told I would need chemotherapy and Tamoxifen due to being ER+ and was then referred to my oncololgist which was about a 10 days later, I started chemotherapy about 2 weeks after that.
I was beside myself with fear waiting for my results, it’s a horrible time, but someone told me not to think of it as waiting for results, but more like waiting to find out my treatment plan, which did help.
Hope this helps
