Pathology results today
Well, we are in throw everything at it territory now it seems, they took everything that they could without going into my chest wall and it was still not quite a clear margin. The tumour itself was huge at 120mm All 4 of the lymph nodes they took were also positive.
I will have my oncology appt in 4 weeks and start chemo as soon as I am healed from surgery.
I will also need either an axillary node clearance or radiotherapy later but I have plenty time to decide which as they don’t want to do any more surgery now which would hold up the chemo, I am not sure what to do here as my surgeon thinks radiotherapy only is the best option but will wait to see what the oncologist thinks
A bit devastated that its not better news but it is sort of what I was expecting, after all my cancer was as big as lots of peoples whole booby…
It’s going to take a bit of time to really get my head around the next stage but I have plans for next week while I can still travel
