Perferated Flap operation

Hi, just after chatting to someone with experience of a perferated flap operation.

After 2 operations and 23 sessions of radiotherapy I have become very lopsided, I have an inverted scar from the operations and my nipple is much lower and inverted than it should be. For these reasons I have been advised that a perferated flap could do the trick and improve things, although not 100% gauranteed.

My question is, after discussing the operation with the new surgeon, my surgeon was very keen to go through the negative aspects of the operation and although I know they have to do that, I did feel he over did it a bit. He explained that I have alot of scar tissue and therefore it was very likely (his words) that I might get infections and cysts and also the flap may not take and I would have to have it all removed again. Has anyone experienced these problems and how uncomfortable did this make you feel?

I hope all your recoveries are going well and haven’t been delayed too much by the Covid backlog.
