Period cramps after finishing tamoxifen?

ladies,

I have just had my second period since finishing tamoxifen and had terrible stomach cramps and felt terrible. Had periods, irregular after chemo and whilst on tamoxifen but not as painful. Must be something to do with coming off the tablets - anyone had this too and, if so, how long did the monthly cramps continue?

I am having short but regular periods whilst on tamoxifin…
When i started taking the drug 2 years ago, i had awful cramps…
Hopedfully over time, your body will adjust and the cramps will die down xx

I thought Tamoxifen stopped your periods supposed to start the menopause off?

Totally confused,
Tamoxifen does not cause the menopause. It blocks oestrogen to breast cancer cells, it doesn’t stop the body producing it. Some women who are close to the menopausego through it due to chemo but not tamoxifen.Tamoxifen can cause the same symptoms but not the actual menopause
